Ingredients (makes 6–8 strawberries)

  • 6–8 fresh strawberries (washed & dried completely)

  • 2 cubes (about 1 oz total) dark chocolate (70–85% cacao)

  • 1 tsp coconut oil (for smooth melting)

Instructions

  1. Prep the strawberries
Make sure strawberries are completely dry. Moisture can cause the chocolate to seize.

  2. Melt the chocolate
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate cubes and coconut oil.
Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and glossy.
(Or use a double boiler for more control.)

  3. Dip & swirl
Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate.
Swirl gently to coat. Let excess drip off.

  4. Set the chocolate
Place dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined plate or tray.
Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes or until the chocolate is set.

Optional Enhancements

  • Drizzle with white chocolate (use dairy-free if needed)

  • Sprinkle toppings while wet:
    ▪ Crushed almonds or pistachios
    ▪ Shredded coconut
    ▪ Sea salt flakes
    ▪ Crushed freeze-dried raspberries

  • Add spice: Stir in a pinch of cayenne or cinnamon into the melted chocolate

Pro Tips:

  • Use room temperature strawberries for smoother chocolate setting.

  • Don’t skip the coconut oil—it makes the chocolate silky and glossy!

  • Store in fridge for up to 2 days for best taste and texture.
