Give Your Mind Fruit and Watch it Make Juice; Feed It Thorns and It Bleeds
One of the most liberating realizations I’ve had recently is just how much my subconscious mind drives my life. The subconscious is infinitely powerful, constantly seeking commands to shape my reality. With this understanding, I’ve come to see my conscious mind as the gatekeeper — it uses logic to decide what influences reach my subconscious. With practiced awareness, I’ve realized that I am in control.
The thoughts I allow into my mind are like seeds. Feed your subconscious with fruit — positive beliefs and empowering thoughts — and it will transform them into something nourishing, like juice. But feed it thorns — negative emotions and limiting beliefs — and it will bleed, spreading pain and chaos into your life.
To make this concept clearer, think of it like writing a story: the conscious mind is the pen, and the subconscious is the final, written book. Every word I speak, suggestion I accept, and criticism I embrace are strokes of the pen, shaping the narrative of my life. While I can write future chapters about growth and overcoming challenges, the ink of previous pages never fades. Every choice I make contributes to the larger story I’m telling.
Blaming others or giving them too much space in my thoughts allows them to take on roles in my story that they don’t deserve. Each conscious thought I dwell on becomes another stroke of the pen, giving them more control over my narrative. But here’s the thing: we are not here to help others write their stories — we’re here to protect and honor our own.
One of my favorite quotes sums this up perfectly: “If you do not accept the gift of anger, it remains with the giver.” This reminds me that I don’t have to carry emotions or distractions that don’t serve me. By refusing to accept anger or blame, I let it return to its source, freeing myself from its weight and keeping it from becoming part of my story.
Taking Control of Fear
Our subconscious mind is incredibly powerful, yet we often overlook its potential. Instead of tapping into its strength, we focus on external skills or practices, forgetting the immense power that already exists within us.
Here’s an example: when you tell yourself, “I want to learn manifestation,” you’re also telling your subconscious that you don’t currently have the power to shape your life. This subtle message reinforces a passive role in your journey and weakens your ability to access your magic. Instead of saying “I want to learn manifestation,” try saying “I am learning to harness my power,” or “I am already manifesting my reality.”
Fear is often at the root of these limiting beliefs. Fear that we’ll never unlock the full potential of manifestation. Fear that we don’t deserve what we’re asking for. Fear that our faith might be misplaced or a lie. Fear holds us back — it tells us how to act, how to dress, and even how to plan our lives.
And that’s exactly why fear is used as a tool for control. Leaders, bullies, and even societal norms use fear to manipulate us into following their expectations, shaping our story for their benefit.
But what if we shifted our perspective? What if, instead of letting fear dictate our choices, we trusted in our intuition and subconscious power? Just like in your favorite books and movies, the protagonist often discovers their greatest power was within them all along. The same is true for us. By trusting ourselves, we can let go of fear and embrace the road less traveled — the path that leads us to our higher calling.
The Final Chapter
The power to shape your story has always been within you. Your conscious mind holds the pen, and every thought you allow shapes the narrative your subconscious creates. By feeding your mind with empowering beliefs and refusing to carry emotions or fears that don’t serve you, you reclaim control.
Your life is yours to write, and every chapter is an opportunity to step into your power. Choose to create a story of strength, growth, and authenticity. The magic has been within you all along — trust it, claim it, and write a life worth living.
